Memories from our last trip to Brazil

When I was 8, we went to Brazil on a mission trip. It was my first international trip and my first time on a plane. It was for the purpose of helping the new church (that our church had planted) have a children's ministry. While we were there we visited the favela (slum) where some of their members lived. It broke my heart. Every day I had played with some of the kids who lived there and did not know that they were so poor.

That's why on this next trip we are going to be going to reach out to more of the poor children in the favela.

Above is the church that Providence planted. What's crazy is that they now have almost 2000 people! They're bigger than Providence!!
Below is my first taste of real coconut!!
